I thought that the male was suppose to lose interest when the female went into her post ov shed. I witnessed copulation between two of my boas several weeks ago and now the female is fully in the blue, and he is still trying to ride her, I left him in with her because I didn't notice much swelling in this female. has anyone had this happen before?

Are you 100% sure the female ovulated? Perhaps the small amount of swelling you saw was the pre-ovulation swell and she is just going through a normal shed cycle.
Jeff Ronne once said, "I am not an expert, but my boas are." The point being your boas know what they are doing. One of the most common mistakes in boa breeding is taking the male out to early. As long as he is trying to breed or you are 100% sure she has ovulated I would leave him in with her.
I can't tell you how many times I have mistaken pre-ovulation swell for a gravid boa...it is a very common mistake.

I'm not to knowledgeable on breeding but I agree with the oldtimer...I would definitely keep him in there until the viagra wears off... cwm33.gif

I would say leave the male in until he is no longer interrested. After he is no longer interrested, feed him and then put him back in to make sure he is not interested. I would make sure he is no longer uninterested before i finally remove him.

No Iam not sure that the female ovulated I didn't see much swelling if any, I have not had her long, I did witness multiple copulations that stoped about two weeks ago, and now just a lot of spurring and squeezing. I also have another pair of boas courting in a adjoined enclosure, and thought that that might be whats making him such a horndog.
