Woohoo!
I adopted this girl over the weekend from a local Herp rescue operation.
Her previous owner didn't take care of her at all. She had a horrible mite infestation,
was way underweight, and has burns on her from a heat rock.
The rescue operation got the mites cleaned up and they've been feeding her for several months.
I finally convinced them that I would give her a good home and they let me bring her home on Saturday.
She is an 8 foot Redtail Boa! I don't have a name for her yet.
Right now, I have her in an enclosure that is a little too small, but it was the best I could do on short notice.
I plan on getting a nice big Boaphile enclosure in a couple months. Right now she's in a 4x2x2.5 aquarium.
She is as friendly and as docile as she can be.
She's still a little underweight, but doing great. She has some bumps under her skin that may be parasites,
and she has a few missing scales... If they don't clear up by her next shed, I'll take her to the vet.
Here are some pics!
