Ok, sorry for the newbie question here....

I used to breed Bci a few years back and then I got into Ball Morphs (shudder) and now I'm creeping back into boas (yay!). My question is, are "pastel, hypo, and salmon" all the same morph? If so, are there different lines? If so, are they all compatible?

No question is ever stupid....

Now as far as the genetics go okay. Pastels are not in anyway connected to hypo or Salmon, and there are I believe around 5 lines of pastels around and I do not know if any are compatable. Now a hypo and a salmon are the exact same thing genetics wise, the only differance that the two have is appearance, Hypos are the more reddish body color, while salmons are the more washed out "orange tail" hypos, but they are the exact same genetic trait. So breeding a hypo x a salmon is the same as breeding a salmon x salmon or a hypo x hypo? Salmon an hypo are just two different names? Cool. I knew they were both co-dom.

no problem, when I first found out about the hypos/salmons I was interested in finding out more so did quite a bit of reading and research so I could learn if and what differances there are, and I am glad to help out anywhere I can. Later Randy T.
