As it turns out my high contrast "normal" has blessed us with some more unusually colored babies again this year. This time with a completely different sire. Last year the father was an orange-tail dh ghost, while this year it was a red group salmon hypo. For now I believe whatever it is she has going on to be an inheritable color phase, but I would not go so far as to call it a true morph. I am going to have to do a number of more breedings to know for sure. I am hypothesizing(guessing still for now) that it is an incomplete dominant trait, as it seems to have had much more influence over the orange-tail hypo trait than the salmon trait.

The EBV red group influence is undeniable throughout the litter, in the hypos and normals alike. Here are some pics of 1.3 hypos that are showing varying degrees of the pale, reduced red base color....

Here is a little boy....

Thanks for the compliments guys!

Denny, I have no idea what th name of the plant is I get these leaves from. It is growing wild in the foliage behind my house. I see a lot of people in my area that have them in the landscaping of their yard. Next time I see one somewere I will ask. I really like the way the pics on them turn out as well.
