:) O.K. Here's the deal....pickle.
All my boas were light and nite time drop temp of 8 degree's with no food for 10 wks.
My male courted & copulated with a femal from Dec to March 21st.
I personally witness ovulation BUT, being the dummy I am...I didn't write the dat down!
She shed 41 days later & again May 5th. She'll eat small items when offered. She has refused 2 meals
She's got a "buldge" and the last part of her tail is plump & solid.......but no babies. I have no idea when she conceived or if she did. She did swell up like she'd swallowed a Nerf football.
Her copulation dates were Dec 21st, Jan 17th & March 22nd.
She lays under a heat light & never goes to the under belly heat. Temps are 88 to 91. What do you think?
My other female copulated Jan 31st to March 27 & dropped 14 slugs June 26st.
Does it sound like she's gravid or it just didn't take? Plus I don't know when to start counting days from her shed. She shed Jan 21st 33 days after her 1st copulation. Then May 5th
Well from Jan 21st to now is 191 days.
Then from May 5ft until now is 84 days. What do you think. I hope I didn't put to many dates to cause confusion. ANY info from you all :-[ would be ever so thankful :'( Thanks for reading this mess :P Thanks, Dave :-*

I think the the May 5th shed date is the one you should go by for now. So I would count 105 days from that shed and project the day from that. She sounds gravid to me, but without pics it is hard to tell. I would post some pics if you are really that concerned. Hope it works out. :'(

Very nice boa. :'( Is that the same one that had those REALLY NICE babies last year? 8)
I have a few possible ideas. I think if the male bred her until March 22 and then lost interest........ That "could" have been because she was having her "ovulations''. If she did ovulate after the last breeding on March 22 then the May 5th shed would have been her POS. After all it takes time for her to ovulate and go into shed cycle. That would make today 84 days POS. I wouldn't start worrying until she's past the 105 days mark. The swelling you saw earlier "might" have been a pre-ovulation swell.
So did the male lose interest and when did you remove him?
Did she darken up in color?
Did she get a bad attitude or lay on her side from time to time?
How much larger has she gotten above her normal size?
Could the first swelling you saw have been the Pre-ovulation swelling? I really can't tell the difference between the different swellings and that's why I'm asking.
I still say that you should go by the May 5th shed as her POS. She looks really good and she's eating, so that's an obvious ++++ . Let us know how things progress.
Thanks,
Linda

Dave,
I would geuss I't was the may 5th shed to count from, 191 days is just too long. Always write it down. I have to admit I didn't write down some dates on 1 female I have that is possibly gravid and I have know clue when she might drop. Are you hoping for more hypo hogs?

Hi Dave,
How's your girl doing? Do you think she's gravid? I sure hope she is. I thought her last babies were amazing. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you. :'(
