A "pre-ovulation twist"? She started having these "movements"this morning and it has been continuing off and on all day, sort of like contractions... a tense squeezing. Her body gets kind of rigid and contorted in a twisted sort of way, sometimes raised up in an arch, and she's been constantly on the move.
Please help. All opinions wanted. Here are some pics....

That is a good representation of the pre-ovulation twist man. I didn't really pay attention to this until the past year or two after seeing Jeff's video. Will this be the first or second ovulation? For your first breeding, you sure did everything perfect so far, I have to hand it to you. Also, did you cool them or not? I know you said that you placed them together because the male wanted in her cage.

I had one of my early breeders, doing the same thing. Went from bieng bred to streched out and rolled over on her side, for a couple days. It happend again a week and a half later. Is your male still in there?

Thanks.... my mind is eased a little.... :( I did not cool them at all. Our male was simply ready to go. We put them together, and they've done the rest.
This is the first we've seen of this, so I am assuming this will only be her ovulation #1. He is actually not in the cage with her at the moment. We separated them and gave them each an extra small meal two nights ago, and planned on putting them back together either late tonight or tomorrow.
Our male has been going ape :-X trying to get back to her, and his fits seem to intensify when she starts "twisting".

I'd put the male in with her now! Sperm has to be waiting for the eggs at the bottem of the oviduct... Give him a chance to cross his T's and dot his I's.... :)

We put him back in there later that night..... She spent most of yesterday sort of leaning to one side, and all day long our DH's tail was at the back of the cage cloacally aligned with hers... the tip of his in the air and swaying as if to a soft breeze.
Our fingers are crossed.
Thanks for the opinions! :'(

Those are some good pics. Now that the breeding season is here, please people, if you are able to, please post pics of this nature. Thanks.
