Albino boas in a clutch are always the best feeling even if you have other morphs in the clutch as well. There is something about that gene. It is so clean and crisp and the offspring who show it are gorgeous. What size cage did you breed the parents in? Just curious. ;D

They were bred in none other than a Boaphile Plastics 421D, with the built in heat option, and Black. I believe in the black, but that is just me. :)

Although I don't use boaphile cages (sorry Jeff), I think that the black is a good choice because during cooling or even just during the offseason night hours, it allows the atmosphere to appear pitch black just as it would under the forest canopy in South America. Again, great job with the boas and thanks for the info. I am very jealous of such a perfect litter!

Hey Clay,
What type of substrate do you have under the newspaper in the photographs? Just wondering..is that just plain unscented kitty litter?

Yes it is plain unscented kitty litter. More specifically, it is Special Kitty (Walmart) brand. The only ingredient is 100% clay.
Dried dirt basically. Does extremely well with holding the heat and helping keep odors down.

One Last question for you Clay..I assume those are Boaphile cages..how much do you use in the cage bottom. An inch , a half inch? Thanks for the info!

Well I don't actually measure it , but I would guess a half inch.
You have to be cautious with a stack of caging, because the litter is quite heavy and when you stack 4 or 5 tall, you are creating a lot of weight. So I would not add too much, keep it under an inch for sure.

That Kitty litter idea sounds like a good idea, I think I will try it out, worst case scenario I can see is my largest girl knocking her water over, and getting "dirty" lol.
I even have a large bag of special kitty, kitty litter left from my last evil cat.
Later Randy T. :P
