I am sorry, I didn't mean it as an insult or to start an arguement. I only posted it as a joke, and thought it would be found as funny. apparantly not.
To answer your question I will say.. Burmese pythons are by far the easiest of all of the species I have kept/worked with. But are definately not a beginners animal.
Good luck trying to find something you want to work with.

OK, where to start?
Well, as far as "easy peasy" goes......... THAT DOESN'T HAPPEN
As far as "what to recommend".......... That depends on the "individual". What types of snakes are you partial to? Do you have the space, time, and resources? As far as what to recommend.... you have to do the research your self. Decide what "YOU" like. The classifieds are the best place to look at the different types of snakes.
Once you figure out the WHAT then we can tell you the HOW. That's the best answer I can give for the questions you ask.
BTW Randy, I laughed at your joke.

Hey minmax! I would have to agree with what Linda said about what you like. What is your interest in breeding them? I assume that you like snakes as we all do. If you are just interested in experiencing the "miracle of birth" their are much easier things to breed than snakes. The rats would be a very good selection. And if you like boas you could feed them with the offspring and save a bundle of money. If you like snakes and want to breed them then choose your favorite, do the research (the web is full of info) and give it your all. I am sure you will find the fullfillment you are looking for. If you decide on boas you can ask specific questions here or search the archives here on this site and find out anything you want or need to know. The people here are very friendly and helpful when given the chance to answer questions that are asked in a respectful manner. Like Randy said though it sometimes takes time. This is a forum not a chat room and most of us only check in when we have time to see what is new! Good luck and let us know if we can help when you make your decision! :'(
