Ok here's the deal i have a 1.2 poss het for snow and one is and anerythristic all from dh to dh breeding from 02 but they are only 4 1/2' in long now they refuse to eat. and before they never miss a meal. i know that boas will go off feed doing breeding season but aren't these guys a little small for that, and isn't it a little late in the year for this to be happening.this pic is from for last year and cage that she is in is 4'.

2 nd alarm I have to agree with you. The male could be ready but I dont think either female is.The male could go off feed if he was cycled same with the female. But I would think they will just be practicing.Which aint a really bad thing.I know I have quite a few 2002's some in the 4 foot range. And I wouldnt want them to breed yet.Better to wait let them put wieght on. Then breed them.If you have them housed together I would remove male.If these prove out to be het for snow. I wouldnt chance it wait till they are more mature in the long run it will be better for you and the mother. As for the male only thing it will do is slow his growth a bit good luck in the future would be nice to see you produce 25% of a clutch of snows and not to mention the hets you will get.I know I would even buy the het babies. Also did you have a big temp drop durning the fall and winter ?

Not to worry. I've got males that are old enough to breed but,not big enough to breed. They go off feed. Seems like from my experience, the year before their mature & big enought to breed, they'l go off feed. Must be one of those puburty things !....LOL. Good luck with em !
