Living in NYC and suddenly moving in two weeks; cannot have my boa where I am going. Know anyone who wants her?
She is 1.5 yrs old, 5 ft, gorgeous, healthy, sweet, rdtail. I am willing to ship? I guess, I have never done that but want a good home for her. ANY COMMENTS about shipping/contact person/suggestions would be appreciated. Very sad.

I will ask a few of my new york buddies to see if they want a new boa, or know anyone that wants a new boa...
You can also contact your local herp society to see if they are able to place your animal in a good home..Good luck

Thanks so much for replying. That is so helpful. Let me know if any of your buddies show interested. Or if you need pictures. I have a digital camera and can do that.
gratefully,

Thats awful that you cant keep it. Is it one of those crazy laws that they have in other states. If it was me I probably wouldn't move somewhere I couldn't have my snakes. Im very attached.

How is the weather in NY now? If it were me I'd look for someone local to give her a good home. Then you wouldn't have to worry about shipping her in the cold. Good luck placing her. -Chris
I'm currently looking for Boas man, can I see some pics? I'll give her a good home. How much are you asking for her? Because shipping is gonna be more than usual since it's gonna be by weight.

Thanks for responding.
I am not sure yet how much shipping will be. I have never shipped but my instinct says "Airborne Express" for some reason. I will go online to find out plus take some digital pics of her at reply again with those attached. She just ate last night so she is quite plump but still beautiful. Where are you? Anyway, if you have any experience shipping, let me know.
Thanks,
jonmeritt
:P
jonmerit,
I live in San Diego Ca, the weather right now isn't too bad over here. The temp is currently at 60. I don't know if you wanna ship over here or not but I'll pay for it. I don't have any experience on shipping, you may wanna ask someone on this forum for some advice on shipping. Let me know what's up.

Hey,
That's great! I did go online for airborne express but will call them now that I know you are in Southern, CA. Lucky you!!! It thrills me to know that Lola might be in a warm climate. She's the best.. Pic coming shortly. BTW, I called Petco in Manhattan to see if they would adopt her, Boa Constrictors are now illegal in Manhattan and other Petco's outside Manhattan won't adopt because of Salmonella? Wow! Things have certainly changed in less than two years.
More info coming soon.

I live in central NY. If you are coming this direction on your move, I'd take her. Let me know. Thanks.

Jon e-Boy,
Where abouts in Central NY? That would be a great option since I am pressed for time. I could borrow a friend's car.
That sounds more do-able. Also, if a train goes there I could just take a train. Let me know.
Thanks for responding! Just want the best for Lola. She's a great pet.

hello...i know this seems like a contest, and you have all of these options... but i currently own 2 female redtails, and i'm looking to expand my collection. i'm from the northren jersey area, and i would be willing to pick her up. how much are you asking for her? and do you have any pics you could post? if your interested, u can e mail me at marebear1745@aol.com. Thanks
Marilyn
don't mean to jump on board with everyone else but if some of the other options don't pan out I would love to have her. I am a high school biology teacher in Ky. and have three females (two of which are gravid) and three males. The students love handling the boas (except for the ones which are now gravid) and therefore they stay very tame. I even use some of them for education at local grade schools. If you feel like this might be a good situation for Lola, please contact me at rbarrettz@aol.com Best of luck finding her a good home if I don't hear from you. :-*

Jon - I live in NYC too and collect and breed only Boas. If she is still available, i'd love to give her a great home and show you my collection.
Take care , Joe
