Who out here has accurate readings of body temperatures of your gravid females??
I know Jeff claims that gravid females will on average stay between 86-90 degrees. Have others found this to be true??
Or have you seen a gravid female spend equal amounts of time on the cooler end of the enclosure?
And in regards to the "heat conservation position"....has anyone witnessed a female go through her gestation and not take this position? Or if they do, at what point during gestation is this more likely to occur?
Thanks for everyones input......

My female that just had babies friday was almost always in the heat conservation mode, although i was'nt sure she was gravid at the time when i checked her temps it was almost always above 86,and jeff sent an e-mail or letter explaining that his females were always 86 or above when gravid in an 82 degree enclosure,so i always kept that in mind when i had my doubts about her and she surprised me last week with a litter of 13 live and 1 slug. She never had a pos or waxy stool before birth this is why i was having doubts.hope this helps

I just got a temp gun the other day and it seems to work, my gravid females are between 86-89 and the non gravid ones are 82-80. As far as the HCP goes I think that has more to do with the tank temps, too cold they go into the HCP.
