Hello, I'm from Japan.
I was view only old member of here, but I got a big question ! I need your help.
I got Babies!!!! My first time Boa babies!!! :'(
But I don't know exactly what I got.
So, Someone teach me, please.

The female is Jeff Ronne's Monster Tail 2000 and the male is Anery pos.het for snow.
This was not planned breeding, the male was young and small, so I put him to her cage little while thinking it will be OK, he will do nothing.
But he made it ;D She delivered 19 babies on 06/13.
Wow, it was big surprise when I found many small heads were holding by big mom!

I think most of them are hypo but some are looks like type2 anery and some are just like a normal.

Please let me know what I got. s19.gif

Thank you.

Sounds like you got some killer monstertail hypo het for ghosts and posibly triple het for sunglow. But your going to have to post some pics. Just telling us about them isn't going to cut it.

Is she a monstertail or a monstetail hypo?

hey sumo from the far east.....im from the far east coast(U.S.)
if you have a monster tail hypo, then the babies you have will be hypo and normal...all 100% het for anerthristic......50% het for albino(only if the poss het snow IS in fact a het).....and you should have some monster tails in there also

in order for you to have any anerys in your litter your monstertail hypo would have to be a het for anerythristic and as far as i know Jeff didnt produce any mostertail hypos het anery......some pics would definatly help

Thank you for the replies :'(
Yes, she is Monster Tail Hypo.
I liked attach the pics at first post as you like to see the babies, but I couldn't.
Today, I'm trying again :-/ again :-/ again :-/...
But, it shows this:NOTICE: If you had an attachment in your post, you will need to reselect the attachment again in the browse box for security reasons.
I did it, but same results. How can I do it ?

Those are some nice babies you have. The hypos are het for ghost, and the normals are het for anery. A few of the hypos look a little like monster tails, but most of them look like normal hypos.

Great job. :'(

Kasper is correct on the genetics.

They are all very nice indeed! Some of those normals were very pastel appearing. I see a lot of the Monster tail influence in them. Especially the big blocky saddles on some. The hypos color looks very nice. I am sure they will all keep getting better and better! ;D

Welcome to the Tank! And thanks for sharing!

Great looking babies. I especialy like the second and last ones in the slide show. They both show the monstertail influence. Great job and good luck with those babies.

Usually you just keep the ones that you can't bear to part with. Question for you.... How is the boa market over there? is there a lot of intrest in boas?

Thank You ! Panama-Red.
It's very different from the United Snakes  ;D of America.
Keeping snakes is not so popular in Japan and besides since last year, we need a permission to keep a big snakes.
We must heve a big strong cage like one for alligators  ::)
Even the Boaphile cages can not pass the inspection.
But I like Boaphile cages  :'( Yes, I don't have permission  :-X
Very few Boa breeders here, most snakes on market are CBs imported from the states.
I know the one snow boa for sale since 2 years ago (still for sale), she is priced about $10000.
