Hi, it's again me!!! lol I know I'm a pain in a .......... lol

Thank you for your reply. I have another question about all this. My female is always hidding my male or she's often on him LIKE trying to choke him.  ::) She is not choking him but it's like if... Is it normal ? It's scaring me alot because as big as she is, I don't want her to hurt him you know!!!

Thank you  :'(

It sounds like she is refusing his attempts, and asserting her dominance. He will have to overcome her if they are to breed successfully. Keep a close eye, because the potential for her to do harm to him is definitely there.

If she seems too aggressive towards him, or he seems too intimdated by her, then separating them for a little while may be a good idea.

This may sound silly, but it is a trick that I used once with a similar problem and it worked....

Seperate the male into another enclosure for a couple days. Now you need to change the snakes 'smell' before reintroducing him to her. There are prolly all sorts of ways to do that, but the simplest way is to let the male soak in warm water for a good long time, dry him off and then rub some olive oil (Doesn't have to be the expensive stuff) on him. This is commonly done by people to remove mites. In this case however it will give your male snake a new smell, and it just might make the female think... "Hey its a different fella this time".

Well just a thought anyhow, good lucka nd keep us posted how everything goes.

P.S. If you do decide to do the olive oil thing, do not put any oil around his eyes, nose, or mouth... that can be a not so good thing.

Thank you for your ideas!!! :'( I gonna try it . But sometimes they are side by side too so that's why I was asking.

Thank you very much and I give you news of this. 8)

Do not do the oil trick.. The oil for mite treatment trick is effective from what I have read, but I have also read that the animals will almost always end up with poor sheds after doing this, and the oil could potentially be damaging to the skin.. (putting oil on our skin in excess clogs pours and prevents oxygen from reaching it.. which is needed..

Last snake I used olive oil on shed better than it ever had.

Now a.. well.. not too bright person I know tried using vegitable oil on one of his snakes.. and that caused the nastiest shed I have ever seen (Old skin turned to goo) and the snake seemed to become very lethargic.

As to clogging pores... there is no worry about that with 'olive oil' or 'coconut oil', whether you believe me or not is up to you. Though you should know, many very expensive 'health spas' are using treatments made from those two oils to unclog pores on people and help give their skin a natural 'luster'.
