I've had my male and two females together for about three months now. He's mated with both females and now both the females seem to me like they are "heat consternating." This is my first attempt at breeding and I didn't go through a cooling period or anything. But the male lost interest he was breeding one female two weeks longer then the other. Both females are curled up in there own side of the cage and haven't moved unless i mess with them. They are both producing heat on their own so I am only guessing that they are gravid. Now the question is when do I have to remove the male. As of lately I don't have and extra cage to move him into so when should it be 100% necessary to remove him. As of now he is only laying on them then moves back under the heat lap again.

Are the females staying on the hot side? I've found that gravid females tend to spend most of their time on the hot side. As for when to remove the male, I've heard of poeple leaving the male in the whole time. I would remove him a week or two before she is due at the latest.

I would do that just because I wouldn't want him crushing babies if she dropped early.
