I just had a litter of boas march 5th from my het female and male hypo, the hypo was not supposed to be a het but the female dropped one albino and 11 hypos and 16 normals,is it possible she retained sperm from the het male who bred her last year, the albino is deformed with a bad kink in its neck and the lower jaw is longer than the top jaw, she's definitely not going to make it.It seems to me if the male hypo was a het she would have produced more than just one albino maybe even a sunglow, anyone have anything similar happen.
thanks

Hi Mike
I would put all my boas on retained sperm. Jeff has posted where he had a female slug out one year and then without breeding have a litter the next year. Plus your right statisticly you should have had more albinos which helps lead to retained sperm.
congrats on the litter, and i'm sorry the albino isn't healthy.

Good luck with the second litter.. Hopefully you have a nice large healthy litter pop out from that second female..
