Hi all, I was wondering if anyone would be willing to give me thier experiences with breeding Argi's. I have a 6+' male and a near 6' female. I'm feeding her well and i would think she would be a little over 6' at the time of pairing. This is my first breeding attempt with herps. I have a copy of the reproductive husbandry of pythons and Boas as well as the Boa constrictor manual. In Ross's book it is suggested that Occi's be cooled and given reduced daylight hours for 8 weeks.. Introduction and breeding should commence after a warming period, suggesting a spring breeding pattern.  Is cooling necessary with occis?? I could probably fumble around and figure it all out on my own, but some help/advice from those with experience would make this a more enjoyable experience vs. a lot of frustration.Any help and advice would be appreciated. Argentines breed best when cooled. Follow the advise here.....

They are known to be easy to breed if cooled in winter.

Paradigm, Thanks. I've been to all the boa breeders websites. I've done as much reading on this as one can, maybe i've learned as much as i'm going to until i see it all happen through my own experiences. Research is all fine and good but there is no better way of learning than hands on experience. Wish me luck, Clint
