My friend took her Cuban boa to be sexed, and while there it expelled, " this white stringy smelly stuff came out of her cloaca," I was told. Smelly stuff sounded like musk. She was told it was musk by the prober. But, although I've seen colubrids expell poo, urates, and fluids when musking, I've never seen stringy stuff? Sort of reminded me of sperm plugs, the way she described it. The prober she used has been wrong about sexing in the past (at least once), and I just wanted to make sure that these were not sperm plugs. I guess w/o a pic, we can never know for sure. But, if a boa can't release sperm plugs when musking, then he probalby sexed her correctly. The only other thing I could think is maybe unsolidified urates??
Wish I had a pic for you, but I wasn't even there to see it myself.
Sorry for the question, I have never seen a boa musk. I'm sure I'm missing out on a lot of fun. ;D
Thanks for any input.
