Hi guys,I have 2 gravid females ;D.The bigger female have no problems feeding,she had 3 medium rats saturday,the other female is smaller,allways been small and a bit agro-almoust been bitten saturday :-X.She only hisses at the food offered and she last ate about 8 weeks ago.Is this a problem?Will she make it to birth without food?If I have worked out the dates correctly both females are due mid January 2006.Just a bid concerned about the smaller female.

Just watch her weight. If she looks like she is getting really thin then I would worry (she is suppose to lose weight though). I know every boa is its own case when it comes to feeding while pregnant. Good luck with your 2 girls!! Post pics when they give birth!  ;D

3 weeks before a surprise birth ( got her in a trade ) my female would only show her teeth and hiss at her food. I think this is normal the closer to birth. I've heard some females will not eat during the whole preg... thing.

If you begin to worry you can offer different food types which might instigate a feeding response. I have had success giving guinea pigs, and chicken parts to finicky eaters (including gravid animals).
