Heat tape placed on a tile floor (in a basement) will NOT heat a cage to 85 degrees. A peice of sheet wall insulation between the heat tape and the tile WILL heat a cage to 85 degrees. (And a lot hotter!) It's amazing how much cold tile will leach heat away from something. It's the simple solutions to difficult problems that amaze me sometimes. Heheh.
