I am in the process of trying to make more room for my boas (seems there is never enough room). My large females are currently housed in 6'x2'x2' cages. I am thinking about switching them to the standard (4'x2'x1') Boaphile cage model 421C. I am worried that they might be too small (the cages not the boas). Anybody got any advice ???.

Hi Bill,
IMO a 4x2x1 cage is too small for an adult female Boa. I'm not dissing Jeff's cages, I have 22 4x2x1 cages of his  ;)! Why not check into Jeff's expandable caging system? Maybe you could get a 6x1x2 cage made which would enable you to fit 2 Boaphile cages in place of 1 of your current cages. Just a few thoughts. :)

OR... you could go with the 4'X2'X18" cage that he offers with the shelf. That shelf adds good valuable floor space for the snakey. Again.. Just thinking outloud.

I had the same thought. I think I may wait until my girls download their babys and order one. I don't want to disturbe them now. If it doesn't work out I can always put one of the smaller males in it.
