I got a viv that I made out of 1inch thick formica coated particle board my usual method of heating with regular commercial heating pads isnt working here cage is 2x2x3'

can you or should you run flexwatt inside the cage as a substrate heater? Or should I just go with a pig pad? Im trying to stay away from light emitting heat sources and ceramic UFO types

Let me know what you think if you get a chance

Later!

Go with the Pig Blanket. Heat tape is made for outside, pig blankets can go inside.

You could also check out a radiant heat panel for use inside the cage, mounted to the "roof". I've got one from Helix Controls that is working out really well.
