View Full Version : Question About the Divider Cages...

I had a cage design idea myself a couple years back very similar to this one. Only mine had a non-moveable glass/plexiglass front and a hinged screen top. I asked all sorts of people who said they did custom cages if they could build it. I recieved not even one reply. This is the closest thing I have found. I was wondering how heating was achieved in this system. In my design it was through the lights on top of the screens. Is there built in flexwatt tape? Is there any way of making the lights untouchable by the snakes inside? Or is there already a guard in place? Also is there a way to make these stackable? I noticed the wires running across the top and thought "Hmmm...Those might get in the way". Also could these things be acheived easily (as I am not a very skilled builder unless it's Legos) or a way that they could be custom made to have light guards and be stackable. I was also thinking about a peice that fits into the groove inside when the divider is out. Just some ideas. I will most likely purchase them anyway. But if they could be slightly revamped that would be friggin' awesome. Thanks, Anthony.

Hi there!

Our divided cages are pretty sahweet!

The best way to heat them is to let us install our special low wattage flexwatt heat tap in the floor of the cage. We can install the heat tape for $35 per cage. The wire actually comes out the back. You should then plug the tape into either a rheostat or a thermostat. We sell thermostats for $90 to our plastics customers. If you need lighting in the cage we can install one of our low profile, flourescent lights in the top of the cage and run the wire out the side. This is the best light we could find and we will install it for you for $25.

And yes, like all our cages and racks, these are completely stackable!

Let me know if there are any other questions you need answered!

Thanks!

Thanks for the info. That sounds good to me. About how much would it be for everything? The cage, all divider pieces, heat tape, thermostat, and lighting. After that all I have to do is multiply it by how many cages I want. I need at least 3...But I may be gettingmore snakes here within the next couple of months. So it'll probably go up to about 6 or more. But these snakes are gonna cost me well over a thousand dollars. So I'm gonna be using the spare 10 gallons I got laying around until I can save up enough in my snake budget for some really nice Boaphile Plastics Divider Cages : ) Then I'll be happy. Everything will be all neat and professional looking then. Not just 10 gallons lying around on any spare surface I have...LOL. Later, Anthony.

It looks about like this:

421D cage..............$199
Divider option..........$100
Heat installed..........$ 35
light installed...........$ 25

Total:......................$359/cage

Thermostat: $90 (you only have to have one of these)

There ya go!

he he he... Ooops!

I have just been informed by Jeff Ronne, the Boaphile that the only cage style that we currently offer the divided cage in is the 422C cage. This cage measures 48" X 24" X 18" and includes our 1/2" "Heat Recess" built onto the bottom. The cage itself costs $338. The divider option is still $100 extra.

Sorry for the mixup!
