I was wanting to pick up a Boaphile Plastics cage or two, I ended up with 92! cwm8.gif I will be working on setting these up b24.gif for about a decade I imagine. I got big ones, small ones, expandable ones, and arboreal ones. I will have pics of the entire set up once complete, will be VERY cool cwm11.gif Jeff himself trucked them down and helped unload them, hows that for customer service. b27.gif

Of course....I couldn't justify buying 92, since I dont have nearly that many snakes, but it would be good for future use hehehehe.

Yeah you went overboard about 20 cages overboard. I'll help you out send the cages to me and I'll pay shiping and a quarter of what you paid for them, since they are used now. O well I'd like to see a pic of that setup when its done sweet.

Last time I counted I had 172 animals. So I actually still need many more cages, just run out of money as you can imagine. I actually only have one herp room, but it is a big one. I built them thier own house, it's 1,000 sq.ft. Only animals I have in my house are some emeralds in a display tank in my living room wall.

I think this particular pair of animals really likes the new boaphile caging, had to put them together long enough to set up the new cages for them, and about 5 min. later they were at it. :D Dble het sunglows in my future I think! I have a het albino male ball that has not eaten in 3 months, 24 hrs in his new cage, he ate cwm32.gif moved some other non feeders into boaphile cages to see if it was a fluke.

I have not got them all set up yet, I just got back in town. I was on vacation for a week. It will be another two or three weeks before I am totally up and running. I have a few modifications to do to the arboreal units for my misting system, as well as several more old units to tear down and carry off. They are coming together slowly but steadily

Well folks, I apologize for not having any pics yet. I have rearranged the shop more than once trying to get the most useful balance of caging. So far they are outstanding. I am about 90% up and running. I will take pics this week, but they will have to be sent to Jeff so he can work his magic with a photo editing program to get them light enough to view (not my forte). Black caging is very difficult to capture with a digital camera. I'm going to try 35mm and scan them to see if they come out better. Got lots of breeding attempts going on, may have some albino retics this year, fingers crossed. Pics are forthcoming!

Any arboreal fans out there in Boaphile land? When Jeff dropped all these bad boys off, I tried to turn him on to the GTP's, showed interest, but I didn't have time to sway him, maybe next trip. I have already found the need for more Boaphile units. Hey Jeff, I need some racks for the babies. Kinda hurt my feelings you laughing at my baby racks, I told you I was no carpenter! I will come pick up the next order, maybe I can laugh at some of your old crap you haven't had time to replace yet!

Hey Robert! You said and I quote,
Robert said: "Kinda hurt my feelings you laughing at my baby racks, I told you I was no carpenter! I will come pick up the next order, maybe I can laugh at some of your old crap you haven't had time to replace yet!"
You got that right. I wasn't trying to hurt any feelings to be sure. I built my first cages before I was a cabinetmaker myself some sixteen or seventeen years ago. They are rough to say the least. If I had ever posted pictures of my oldest cages here we could all have a good laugh. I have joked with my friend Joel DuBay that someday we would put them in the Jeff Ronne museum! HA HA! If you’re going to make that trip up here Robert better make it soon. I am replacing my melamine as fast as I can afford the plastic. We just moved out 29 more melamine cages this week to make room for 30 new plastic cages I have made or am in the middle of building. So I STILL have more Boaphile Plastics cages than you do Robert but you were dangerously close for a while there. Don't get me wrong. I'd love you to pass me up soon but you'll need to order another 50 or so pretty quickly to get ahead of me and the more time that passes the more you will need. Yes, this is a race. LOL
Old cages? They were so bad we burned them. Yes even the museum bound plywood antique cages. Well all but one that the neighbor is using as a doghouse. I think there is a Far Side cartoon in this little story somewhere...

Robert,
No you didn't go overboard just jumped ship. LOL. Anyway say how do those boaphiles hold up to the retics? I am thinking about boaphile cages for my Burms, and Retics, and wont go anyother way for the Boas. Just wondering though.
That is the snake room from my dreams.
