Couple hypo photos (follow up to my "calico" post)

I got to say... I really dislike taking photos indoors using flash! :-/

But anyway, here are two photos of Rose. The flash washed out some of the animal, but still gives you an idea. I will have to reshoot later

I am going to let you in on a little secret... that was not a macro shot ;D It was a pretty close up shot with a standard canon 50mm f/1.8 lens (not sure what it was stopped down to though, probably about f/4 and it should of been stopped to f/8 but oh well) Some cropping was done and a little more processing was done as well. It did not come out of the camera that sharp... it had a little help from my buddy, USM (Unsharp Mask)

The other photo was done about the same, no cropping though, just resized and a wee bit of curves adjustment ;D

Well, you definitely have the technique down... :'( The crispness is that much more accentuated due to the shadow that sort of hangs off of the specimens chin... very cool. Thanks for sharing, the secrets safe. ;D ~Jay
