View Full Version : Are there any boaphiles for viewing?
I have been interested in these cages for some time now, but the one thing that has kept me from picking one up is the height. They seem more designed for folks with 5 or more animals or breeders. I just keep a few, and I like to be able to see them. I would like to see a little more height on the cage, the largest non-arboreal cage i have seen is 17.5". I just wonder if anyone knows of any plans to make one that is better for viewing?

I've got an 18" high and I see in very good, it helps to have the cage close to eye level. Also I've seen the cages in white, and the light color makes everything inside supper bright so the snakes stand out....... just a thought. :'(

ACE:-> I have many Boas and I breed as well. I have rows and stacks of the 421D models, only 11" high I believe.
I have the fluorescent light installed in them and when the light is on, I can see just about to the very back wall of even the bottom cages! ;D
Whether i'm directly in front or a few feet back, I can always easily see all of every animal - no problem! :'(
If you don't have the light installed, and seeing pics of these without the light inside... this does make it appear to have little visibility inside.
But there is a world of difference when you get the light installed.
So clean, so neat.... and inexpensive too! ;D
Gotta love'em! :'(
They get 3 thumbs up in my book! :'( :'( :'( lol
:-* :-* :-* :-* :-*
***** The pic below is of one small stack. I took the pic with a BAD CHEAP CAMERA WITH BAD LIGHTING, and it is only 3 feet back and about 5 feet to the side - hard to see but you can STILL clearly see in everone!
The bottom cage does NOT have the light on, and here you can barely see anything - this we know.
The others, you can see with no problem! Ang again, it's the camera that makes the snakes themselves look blurry..
Hope this helped! Thanks, Joe
