Here is a lesson for all. I knew not to do it, and still did. I got unexpected company during feeding, and tossed these kids together to go get the door. Whats left is a dead snake, and one that surely will be soon.ENJOY!!
btw, if you were interested in number 08 on our site, it is no longer available.

Man that really stinks. I hope that that the eater makes it. He'll most likely just regurge and hopefully be okay.

I cant find the words to make you feel better. All i can say is keep your head up and dont let this unfortunate accident take away from the awesome pastels that you have produced!

Thanks guys.This is kinda rough...
I had the same damned thing happen last year, and so now I seperate all the babies.I just got in a hurry and distracted, and took too long before going to check on them.

Dam, that's not nice!!! Sorry for your loss, I hope "cannibal" makes it.
I had a similar experience with a Boa as well. I offered to tame down a friends Boa (incidently he named him Hanibal) and it was really tame by me. I kept it with my 2 other small Boas as they were the same size. Everything went well, and then I fed them. I seperated them while feeding, but when I put them all back together, Hanibal decided my most favourite Boa looked very appetising!!
LUCKILY I saw him in time, and he had just managed to get her head in. I was so angry, I put him in a tub and put him in the cage, and asked my buddy to take his snake.
It's not about loosing money, it was about loosing one of my FAVORITE Boas!!!

Wow, I am somewhat dumbfounded by that picture. I would not have believed that one RTB would eat the other.
Thanks for posting that picture -- It is a great lesson for the rest of us.
Hey Davey, thats tragic.
We all know better, but we all make mistakes.
I hope you don't mind but I've linked this thread to one I started on Bob Clarks forum. It began as a thread about a boa eating a ball python (herman stokel supplied the grim imagery). Since it's the same topic I revived the thread by linking it to this one.

How aweful!!!! I am very sorry for your loss, Davey. Sometimes simple mistakes can make for some really hard lessons learned.
How is the eater?

Thanks again everyone. She regurged yesterday afternoon, and seems to be doing quite well. Keep your fingers crossed, we aren't out of the woods yet, but we can see light now.
