This is Dorothy! She just earned her name this morning...
Last week Friday I noticed that one of my Gravid Het for Albino Boas had escaped from her cage. The door was open on one side and I am not sure exactly how she got out. If I had left the door unlatched or if somehow she pushed the door open. I don't know. I had found her jammed under one of my old melamine cages in a space about 2 1/2" tall. I could not get a hold of her so I figured I'd just wait till I found her out and about. I would be feeding in a few days as well and thought that the rats might get her moving about. I had opened the door of her cage after she had escaped thinking that there was some wild slim chance she may actually go back into the cage. This morning I am all over the basement looking for her. She had knocked over a trash can and some other stuff that was actually on top of cages some 7' off the floor! She was no longer jammed under that old melamine cage. There are a few other gaps under some other old melamine cages and she wasn't there either. HHhmmmm where could she be. Then I glanced into her old cage... there she was. Sitting on top of her old hot spot looking at me as if to say, "Shut the door! It's cold in here." All is well that ends well I guess. She must have decided that "there's no place like (a "Boaphile Plastics")home" after all.
