If he did produce this snake, when did he do so? It's looks like an adult in the picture. I saw when he first posted that pic, but he gave no information on it's origin. That snake is SWEET either way!

Its really hard to tell the size of the snake in the photo. I can make baby ball pythons look like adults depending how I shoot the photo cwm13.gif Anyway, that is NOT the point.

Like I said, it is hard to tell the age of a snake just by looking at the pic, and you are right, either way that is one awesome boa constrictor and that IS the bottom line. ;D

But what if the snake is not a baby, that would mean he kept it hidden and kept quiet about it until now. But even if he did, thats okay. I am sure he is not the first person to hide a snake. I am sure Jeff has a few snakes that he as not told any one about...

I have to agree with you 100%. That snake is UNREAL! And it blows my mind that an animal like that could just "pop" out (no pun intended). To date, this is the 2nd motley boa to be born out of the blue. I think the first one to pop out was at Kevin and Sue Hanley place but I am not positive...

hey

i agree, that is a beautiful boa- but i have a question:

or a statment kinda- does that sort of thing happen when the mother is or has fluctuating temps whle gravid???

i see alot of stuff like this- granted not in an argentine, but in other boas....all due to a drop in temps while the mother is gravid. making it not genetic.

is this the case????

its somethimng i have always wondered, and this is the place to ask questions.........................

Here he is!

This little guy came from the same bloodline that the Hypo Argenties came from. Large litter with one baby like this one. I saw it at the Expo in Florida last year and he was far blacker. Hopefully as he grows larger he will get really black again. One of the coolest Boas out there bar none!

Well I think the Motley has something strange going on considering the patternless babies Jeremy produced from a motley to motley breeding. Who knows, but I would bet that this snake will produce motleys... just my guess. I did not know there were hypo argentines out there Jeff, all of these morphs are getting hard to keep up with!

Here's a motley that was posted on Kingsnake a while back. This one is nice and light! It belongs to Roy Lance I think. I hope he does not get pissed at me for posting, but ...
