they are generally ALOT darker than columbians...Not always..but most of the time...Alot of greys generally....alot depends on the exact locale though...But generally speaking they have alot of black and greys in them and they generally stay 5-7 ft range....(females that is)

CA is jsut kind of a general term though for that whole range ....

Frans,
Go to this web-site;
www.boa-constrictors.com
Go to the English version, and there you will find pictures and discriptions of many different types of boa constrictor. It's an awesome overall site on our favorite snakes! :'(

Central American Boa, in which I have seen some books actually classify as a Mexican Boa Constrictor. Boa c. mexicana, which are always very very dark, and the dark chocolate brown coloring is throughout the body. Same coloring on the dorsal saddles as on the tail. It seems that most of the CA boa are very dark colored.

I'm no expert, but unless you know what locality she is, then it's pretty much anyone's guess. I agree with the Central American general location, but that's a real big place, the last time I consulted my atlas...

Beautiful snake either way. Enjoy!
