Give you guys a backround on her. I bought her at the Hamburg show from a group of very nice people. She was the pick of the litter, but he wan't able to keep her because he needed too. I know there names where Toni and Tonya. I got a phone number from them, but lost it :( So everytime I had to the Hamburg show, I try to find them so I can send them updated pictures like they ask for me to do from time to time. He said she's a really nice pink pastel from a very good line. Which of course, I wasn't able to remember :-/
I got her when she was only a week and a half old. Only had her first meal in her, and still had her cord from birth.

Took these pictures last night.
Inside pictures. The flash took a lot of pink out of her.

She's now 5 months old and still getting better.

Would she be considered a pastel?

She looks great, a truely beautiful animal regardless. By many different standards she would be considered a pastel but in my opinion she is lacking the one key thing I look for to determine if an animal is a Pastel. She seems to have a decent amount of black flecking inside her side diamonds which is an indicator I look for more so then speckling. I of course have different standards then many others. I have seen animals with much heavier black flecking in their diamonds then your girl sold by respected breeders as pastels.

Here is a Pastel Dream I picked up from Ronne a few years ago. He has quite a few speckles but you can see in his side diamonds that they are virtually clear of speckles.

I thought so too. the amount of black on her makes me think she's just a really nice pink boa.
What ever she is, she's really pink and I would love to put her in with my EBV Red Group. I'm sure those babies will be awesome.

I agree with you 100% on that. An EBV red group mixed with her will result in some intensely nice animals.

Good luck with that down the road.

Very nice boa! I myself am very picky about what I call pastel. The only black I like to see on a pastel boa is in the tail area and the head. Other than that, I like none for it to be a pastel. Just my opinion. I love the color on your girl and wouldn't mind having her in my collection ;D

I think it, you post it (well not my boa,but equally pink)hehe...
Some would consider it cheating throwing in one of those for comparison...I LOVE IT!!! :'(
I should really work out how to post pics over here....I get error messages, no matter what I do... cwm10.gif
