She is four year of age, and is a real looker. The photos are a lot darker than what she is but I still like to show off! LOL... Tell me what you guys think.

Beautiful animal, even if from the photo the colors are not well understood, and nice cage. Could you tell me the measures of the cage, I want to make a new one for mine boas.

Very nice suri! great contrast on her.
I'm not here to tell anyone how to raise their animals, but you may want to back off the food a bit. If she just ate, you may be feeding prey a bit too big. If not, she's definitely a little pudgy :P
You may also want to throw a hide in the cage for her.
But again, beautiful girl and despite the pics not showing her color well, it's easy to see she's a looker.
Have a good one, jb

She had just ate in that photo, but she regurged it the next day after I was holding her. She was keep alone, and Never handled for 4 Years! So I have my work cut out for me!! Her cage is 48 wide, 56 tall, 48 deep. What does the hiding place sever for?? Stress? She will be the mother of my Common Redtail which has the best of colours!!! He is a year and half, and I will be getting him ready later in the winter months. He has just came up on 5 feet long! What a good guy! I will need some good tips when it come time for breeding! So I will be bothering all I can!! Thanks

Hi Joel. Am I reading this correctly? Are you saying that you handled her the day after she ate and she regurged? You shouldn't handle her so soon after eating. Wait a couple days for her to digest. That's probably why she regurged. The hidebox gives them a place of security and privacy. You'll be surprised how much time they'll spend in it. I disagree about her being overweight though. She looks like a snake that just ate to me. That's just my opinion of course. By the way......Real nice setup you've got there. I'm sure she loves it. -Chris

Joel,
please do not breed your suri to your colombian. If you're wanting to put them together because that's the only pair you've got, invest in a female colombian and a male suri... please!
There's no good reason to cross the two, I assure you.
As for handling after feeding, suri's have delicate stomachs and they need about 5 days or more (if it's a big meal like you obviously fed - which, by the way, you might want to feed smaller prey) to digest before being handled.
And yes, the hide is for security. They can also be for humidity as well (shed cycles). Hmmm, check this out too... good info... http://www.proexotics.com/FAQ_answers_Hide_Spots.html
Good luck with your suri and again, please don't cross your boa constrictor imperator with your boa constrictor constrictor, there's no need...

I did not mean to handle her right after her meal, what happen was I bought her on Friday, and Saturday I handle her a very little bit. The guy that sold her to me said that he feed her a few days ago, but that was not the case! When she Regur, the Rat was still solid a look to be a bit fresh. The smell was so awful!!! My wife was so pissed off!! LOL... Now here is where I am having problems. Even thought she regurged yesterday morning, today she is still thick! The owner I bought her from had told be that he kept her with a male Surniam for a while, but he died of age he thinks. That's why he sold her. There could be a slight chance she is loaded, but he said he really does not think so. How could I find out for sure??? Now on Friday when I put her in her new home she made a mess that had some white cloudy stuff in it. And This morning I found something white and solid looking. I will post a photo in the message to see if you can help me with this problem! Thanks for your help!!! And why is it no good to cross bread?? Thanks

please please please research!!! now!!! ::)
the white stuff is... snake pee. i.e. urates. very normal.
aside from that, keep asking questions, but more importantly... read!!!!!!!
go to kingsnake.com, and read!!!!!!
good luck, and don't crossbreed!!!!!! they're different subspecies, that's why... nature and all of that. there are different sides to this argument, but here we all say no! ???
go read! good luck again! ;D

and you shouldn't handle her at all for about a week after you get her. she should just hang in her cage, definitely with a hide spot, and acclimate. you'll have much better luck with a less stressed (esp. those darn bcc) boa.
