This is not really specific to Colombians, so bare with me. What is the difference between Northern Brazilians, and Amarali? Is it just the location? They look pretty much the same thing. The reason I am asking, is I was thinking about picking up a pair. There just seems to be so many locale's out their Northern Brazilians, Southern Brazilians, Amarali. Then you have Guyana, and Surinam's which basically look the same, and all there is, is an invisible line seperating them. Also, what's up with the "Baranquilla" boas I've been seeing. Are they just a Colombian, with just a designated area that they come from?

Thanks for anyone that can help,
Chris

The only part that I have an answer for is the part about the Baranquilla colombians.  Baranquilla boas are just plain old colombians.  It more or less a way of saying import without saying import.

There is a very informative website that explains the difference in most of the boas-
http://www.boa-constrictors.com
When I first got started with boas I found a lot of useful information there. North Brazilian, Guyana, and Surinam are all different sub-species of BCC (boa constrictor constrictor). Amarali, another and Colombian BCI (boa constrictor imperator) yet another. I currently have 2 North Brazilians and would suggest to you that if you are looking for another boa ,to stay with the BCI as they tend to be somewhat easier keepers.

Good Luck in your search for info!
I hope this helps you.
