Just a couple pics of our new Guyana babies, the female is almost 24" long and the male only about 18". If you are still around in a year or two you can see one or both of their babies ;D

Very nice. Did you produce them yourself or buy them elsewhere?

I purchased these two lil beauties, both of them for about $200 so I couldn't pass it up (That was $200 for both, not each!!!). They are both strong eaters and healthy so I am quite happy. This year I am only breeding BCI, but I have decided to get more into BCC and other species. I'll keep the thinktank posted with pics of course as things get rolling  :'(
I actually hope to breed these two Boas in 2 years prolly, they are from two different blood lines. What can I say... I am a Boaholic I guess ::)

bcc should not be placed together for breeding before 4 years of age. if they're "breeding size" before that... you're OVERFEEDING. these are not bci... take your time and do it right. keep those beautiful animals healthy and please don't overfeed them. at two years old, they should be 3-4, maybe 4.5 feet (if the bloodline grows quick).
good luck, jb

:'( Yup Yup, sorry I didn't specify, I was hoping towards breeding the male with an established female an acquatance of mine has tat I might be getting, or another one from somewhere else when he was around 3 years of age or so. The female I wil not breed until she has had a chance to fully matre, properly. She is currently right at 1.5 years old and has never been 'power fed', so is growing the usual slow BCC pace. Which is good in my opinion.

I do not 'power feed' any of my snakes. With the possible exception of neonate BCI when I am trying to get them to grow a bit if they are runts. That is just my preference because I want their respratory systems to get a bit larger, get their immune systems functioning a little faster and get them large enough so tey don't need the smallest pinky mice I can find, and switch them over to newborn rat pinkies.

Anyhow, back to the subject, no worries, I am going to do it all right with my BCCs. Of course, like any proud snake pappa. See'in those little beauties makes the time before they are able to breed drag on seemingly forever.
