Tail movement

When I place an other female or male boa constrictor together with one of my female boa constrictors she starts waging her tail like mad. She also deposits a kind of cream/pink colored slime when she does that. What is it? Territoral behaviour? I seen the same behaviour with my ball pythons and other pythons too.
