This my snake and on 7 january 2006 he will be 4 years old,and is now 6-6.5 ft long and weighs 17.8 pounds. What will you think of his length ?(personnaly i think it's normal) And his weight? (i think not normal)
What is the normal weight of snakes of that age?

The snake have had too much food with his past owner,i'm sure of that.

The biggest problem is the head.
It's really little and totally doesn't fit with the body. It's even ugly.

The reason of that is probably also overfeeding,Yes ?

How can i solve this problem ? Or even better can i solve this problem ever?
Wiil my sneak's head ever become like that of a normal Boa ?

I'll see sometimes boa's of 4 years or even much younger and these boa's have a much, much bigger head than mines.

personaly i think for a really strict diet.
Are there persons that have also the problem that i have ?
Or persons that my problem will have in the past?
Will i get ever a normal boa like anyother?

Please help me.All tips welcome...

A seriously worried boa owner from Belgium (europe)

Already thanks....Greets,Klaus

Your boa's head is slightly small for it's body size. You can correct this by simply feeding it less often. In time, the head will "catch up" with the remainder of the body. You have nothing to be really worried about.

Nice boa, by the way!

That does look like a nice looking boa, but if it is a male it would be over fed...

I would say alot of boas are being fed too much.

First find out for sure if it is a male or female by probing.

If it is a male:

Try giving a jumbo rat once per month, or a small large every 14 days.

Hope that helps, Andy :'(
