Well as my boa adventures continue i've been thinking of going a little wild lately, Hogg wild that is. Through weeks of pondering and negotiating between Nefarion, myself and ClayI've landed a couple of Clays Hogg Island Boas. Originally I was only wanting the male Hogg but I couldn't get just the male they were only available as a pair.
Now these are exact words from Clay in an email.
" I handled the female before I bagged her and she was okay.. still cranky, so just watch her.. "
Plus Nef told me the female was a bit nippy and hissy..
So to say the least I was very reluctant to hold her at first, instead of holding her right away I put the bag in the cage and let her on her own so she could get used to her surroundings. I'm glad I did because she did not look like she woke up on the right side of the bed when she came out of the shipping bag and was ready to tagt anything.
Well that was then and this is now. A new day, a new owner and sunny warm california for the little girl, 8) she couldn't be happier. I took her out of the cage and she is a doll. An absolute dream girl, her colors had my jaw dropped to the floor like I was holding a first place trophy. I am shocked that such a known breeder would give up an exquisite animal (well its not the first time is it, He needs to find his marbles ???before its too late.)
They both have a little retained shed, but thats fine.. Clay was trying out some new substrate and apparently it wasn't holding the humidity at a proper level. I'm certain next time around they will shed normally, Its all good.
So without any further delays I would like to introduce my latest aquisitions. First off is "BOSS HOGG" my male Hogg Island Boa.
