This is Jazz. She is one of Majik's babies. She's the most colorful female baby of the litter.
Here's what she looked like after her first shed

Here's what she looks like today. She's only shed twice since birth. Her second shed was a few days ago. This was an outdoor pic and it was overcast, but that's what she really looks like. 8)

Thanks Cyberserpent,
I don't know what they looked like as babies. I got them as 2 year olds. When I got them they had the orange wash over their entire bodies. The female was more of a peach pink with some red undertones. The male was more of a pink with LOTS of red undertones. They both gained color as they matured. Here's a link to what they look like today.

Thanks Bushbaby,
Both of the parents are Pastel Dreams purchased from Jeff. They were both 66% possible hets for Albino too. The male, Muzik, proved to be an 100% het last year when he bred my Albino female. I didn't get any Albinos from this years breeding, but I'm still hopeful the female, Majik, is a het. She had 12 live, 1 stillborn and 7 slugs. I think the color in the babies is a result of a "double dose" of color from both parents. I think breeding Pastel Dream to Pastel Dream is the best way to go if you want LOTS of color. I'm going to take pics after each shed to see how much more colorful these babies get. I look at them everyday and I didn't realize how much color they gained until I compared to the pics after their first shed. 8)

Looks great Linda! Superb coloring! I presume they will only get better too!
I also just traded John for some of the SuperSalmon X Hoggs and they are just blowing me away! Can't even imagine after another shed or two!
take care, Joe

Thanks Joe,
I'm also hoping in a few years she'll prove out to be an acutal het.
I look forward to seeing pics of your new babies. I love Hoggs and crossed with a Super Salmon is an incredible combination. :'( Post pics when you can.
Thanks,
Linda

She looks great Linda. She's a good reason to hold on to your babys for a while before letting them go!
