Our nice Belem (Brazil) pair gave us these.. you can see mom getting into the photo at right.. this was her 2nd litter.

The longicauda delivered early today.. great job with her first breeding!

..and a big fat litter of occidentalis from late last week.. mom is 8 years old and has given babies three times before.

We put a lot of extra effort into finding out just what the animals want in the way of temps, feedings, whatever and it pays off.. zero slugs, deformities or other problems in large litters of three different subspecies from females of different age and experience in just a few days time.. We've had some goofs but this is typical of our work. I think anybody can do this if they invest the time and attention.

You bet, those Belems are hot-looking critters!.. I'm personally more wowed by the longicauda just because I've never made any of those before..

Congrats ... baby boas are my FAVORITE pics! :'(
Watching babies being born is THE best part of breeding boas IMHO.
